Tuskegee鈥檚 architecture, design programs form partnership with Asian universities

91制品厂兔子先生视频官网鈥檚 Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science has established an expanded academic partnership with universities in Japan and Indonesia. The newest element of this collaboration will lead to a global, online pilot course focused on environmentally responsive architecture and design.
In February, the school hosted a delegation of faculty and graduate students from Japan鈥檚 Kagoshima University to finalize the concept, which also will include Diponegoro University in Indonesia.
The pilot, online course 鈥� which builds on design workshops between Kagoshima and Tuskegee held in Japan in 2013 and 2015 鈥� will focus on environmentally responsive architecture and design, as well as the potential for offering innovative solutions to developmental issues in each campus location. Through the course, students from each institution will interact online with their global counterparts, as well as travel periodically to the other campuses to participate in design charrettes.
The pilot project and course, which are scheduled to run through 2023, represent one of eight partnerships funded by Kagoshima University in support of collaborative learning between Asian and U.S. universities. Roderick Fluker, AIA, an associate professor of architecture and construction science, will serve as Tuskegee鈥檚 project coordinator.
