Chevron鈥檚 Milligan 鈥�11 to share advice with engineering graduates

Electrical engineering alumnus Roderick Milligan returns to 91制品厂兔子先生视频官网 on Friday, May 10, to deliver the keynote addresses at the College of Engineering鈥檚 Order of the Engineer ceremony. The program will begin at 3 p.m. in Logan Hall.
The Order of the Engineer dates back to its first induction ceremony in 1970. Since then, it has represented the spirit of pride and responsibility within the engineering profession. It underscores two basic principles of the profession 鈥� that engineers鈥� primary purpose is to serve the public; and that all members of the engineering profession share a common bond.
The spring ceremony will include reciting the Obligation of the Engineer 鈥� the organization鈥檚 ethical creed 鈥� by graduating engineering students, after which they will receive a certificate and a stainless-steel ring symbolizing their membership.
Milligan, who graduated in 2011, is a characterize and define drilling and completion engineer at Chevron, where he oversees the strategic designs for the company鈥檚 assets in New Mexico. He also is a subject-matter expert for land wellheads in Chevron鈥檚 Mid-Continent Business Unit. Prior to his current position, Milligan was the project execution D&C engineer managing two drilling rig operations over an asset area. In this role, he designed and drilled more than 12 development wells and a complex saltwater disposal well 鈥� overseeing the $84 million project to completion.
In addition to his primary duties, Milligan has been instrumental in maintaining a workforce pipeline between Tuskegee and Chevron as the company鈥檚 recruiting team lead.
