On Thursday, Sept. 12, student members of the Saudi Students Club at 91制品厂兔子先生视频官网 will showcase for the campus and surrounding communities their native country鈥檚 proud culture, exquisite cuisine and intricate art. Saudi National Day also will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the club鈥檚 founding as a campus organization. It is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the university鈥檚 Kellogg Conference Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and is open and free to the public.

Club president Ahmed Alahmadi looks forward to the event leading to greater engagement between the university鈥檚 American students and those with international ties. He also looks forward to it presenting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a positive light through peace and intercultural exchange, as well as highlighting the country鈥檚 economic and technological advancements.

鈥淲e are excited to engage with our American student counterparts, as well as other international students, in our humble exchange of Saudi Arabian culture,鈥 he said. 鈥淲e hope everyone attending our event will gain a greater understanding of our country through activities where they can learn our language, try on some traditional clothing and sample authentic Saudi food.鈥

With native Saudi students enrolled in many of Tuskegee鈥檚 academic majors, the university鈥檚 Saudi student population has grown to become the largest international student body on campus. The university鈥檚 nearly 80 Saudi Arabian students are part of a larger group numbering more than 500 Saudi natives studying at colleges and universities throughout Alabama.

One of those students is two-time Tuskegee alumnus Ahmed Alhelal, who was among the university鈥檚 first Saudi Arabian graduates, and is now working on a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering. He will speak at the event about his journey as an international student studying at an HBCU, and his recent summer experience as an international panelist at the 46th Space Congress in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
