For Colley鈥檚 effort of being an Ambassador, she will receive a $2,000 scholarship alongside professional training in goal setting, time management and respect and inclusivity. She and the other ambassadors walk away from the experience with tangible sales and marketing experience. 鈥淚 came to TU because I felt better at small scale schools,鈥 said Colley. 鈥淚 went to a small high school and I felt that I would have a better relationship with my professors. I have felt more cared for here at TU.鈥 She attended two junior colleges before starting Tuskegee, but feels blessed at Tuskegee and calls it home.

The AFA Ambassador works to heighten awareness of AFA programs among their peers and establish creative strategies to increase student involvement from students on their campuses. These opportunities include AFA Leaders Conference, AFA Leader Institutes and AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships. Ambassadors are also integral in demonstrating AFA鈥檚 impact to corporate partners to support the continuation and acquisition of partnerships. 鈥淎mbassadors are vital in driving awareness of AFA鈥檚 premier leader and career development experiences among highly motivated young professionals studying food, agriculture and natural resources,鈥 says Kelly Boswell, AFA Senior Marketing Manager. 鈥淢obilizing students as advocates for AFA ensures we are continuously reaching new students and diversifying student participation to be representative of nation-wide enrollment in agriculture programs.鈥 Colley has a very busy and active life. She just got married, Oct. 22, 2022, to Jared Roberts. Besides being a full time student, with work study and other school involved activities, she works at the KIA plant in health and human resources. She entered in her first race the night before her wedding last year and looking to get back into the circuit.
