Undergraduate Scholarships

A number of scholarships are available to undergraduate students enrolled in DAES. 听Application deadlines vary for each scholarship thus, students are encouraged to research each opportunity utilizing the resources provided below. 听 听More information can be accessed using the hyperlink below. Awarding and renewal of CAENS scholarships are competitive. Currently enrolled students must submit a CAENS Scholarship Profile to be considered for most of the departmental scholarships. Scholarships

AL Ag Credit Annual Scholarship

This award is given to students pursuing a degree in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (with the exception of pre-veterinary sciences) with preference given to undergraduate students majoring in Agribusiness. Recipients should have demonstrated leadership as active members of student organizations and associations active on the 91制品厂兔子先生视频官网 campus, particularly those with an emphasis on agriculture. 听The recipients must have completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). 听Faculty in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences select the recipients who will be referred to at 鈥淎L Ag Credit Scholars.鈥 (Varies from $500 to $2000)听

BD Mayberry Scholarship

The Integrative Scholarship and Community Development Award听

This award goes to two students in CAENS in recognition of their interest and consistent performance in integrating agriculture and other disciplines. Students may have dual majors and/or provide leadership in the university or community based developmental projects or internships that involve agriculture, the environment, natural resources, nutrition and/or agribusiness. ($250 each)

The Bobbie Nell Barnes Memorial Scholarship

On 听the 听occasion 听of 听his 听50th 听birthday, 听Victor 听L. 听Harris, 听Class 听of 听1982, 听established 听this scholarship on August 听11, 2011, in loving memory of his mother, Mrs. Bobbie Nell Barnes, who 听died September 听21, 2006, at her home in Athens, 听Georgia. The first in his family 听to attend college, Victor enrolled in the forestry program at Tuskegee Institute (now University) in 1979, in collaboration with North Carolina State University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Forestry. His younger brother, David L. Harris, is also a Tuskegee alumnus, earning a B.S. degree in Management Science in 1988.听

The recipient must be a U.S. citizen in good standing with the University, a rising sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student enrolled fulltime in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences, with a CGPA of 2.5 or better. The recipient must also submit to the Selection Committee an essay of at least 700 words describing reasons for applying for the scholarship. ($500 a semester, if student continues to meet scholarship requirements)

The FARMS Family Student Award

The Family Agriculture Resource Management Services, a public service entity devoted to providing legal, marketing and youth education services to Black belt counties in South Carolina and Alabama, provides a scholarship to an African American student majoring in agricultural sciences who is a first or second generation dependent of a farm family in the Southeast region. Must be a junior or senior with a CGPA of 2.8 or better and write an essay describing their family鈥檚 history in agriculture, and financial need. ($100)

Anthony Grano Fellowship Applications

The AAEA Trust is now accepting applications for the Anthony Grano Scholarship Award. Two scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded to academically successful, highly motivated students in agricultural economics or a closely related discipline with an interest in agricultural policy and the policy formation process. The scholarship will support recipients to travel to Washington, DC to meet with senior staff from USDA, Congressional offices, and agricultural trade associations and commodity organizations.
